Big turnout at ADUN Bukit Lanjan Elizabeth Wong Chinese New Year 2011 Open House


Over 2,000 people thronged the Chinese New Year 2011 Open House hosted by ADUN Bukit Lanjan state assemblywoman YB Elizabeth Wong held at Persiaran Jalan Tanjung SD 13/1, Bandar Sri Damansara on Sunday 13th Feb 2011.

A smiling Elizabeth Wong, who is the Selangor State Exco for Tourism, Consumer Affairs and Environment, was happy with the overwhelming attendance and the support shown as the multi-racial crowd happily intermingled and celebrated the Chinese New Year together.

The festive atmosphere was abuzz with the present of VIP guest Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and his wife Puan Sri Salbiah Binti Tunut,

Visitors to the open house were feted with a sumptuous spread of local delicacies while being entertained by Chinese New Year songs, lion dance, cultural dance performances.

The Chinese New Year open house fostered closer ties among members of the community.


Visitors enjoyed a buffet spread that included fried meehoon, fried rice, curry chicken, fried chicken wings and drumsticks, chicken sausages, fish balls and ABC (Air Batu Campur).


The crowd thronged the booths offering mouth-watering food items.
